Last updated: 5 October 2026
If a website or web address run by Appetite Host is being used to harm people, tell us here. A person reads every report.
1. What to report here
- Phishing — a site pretending to be a bank, a shop or a person to steal details
- Malware — harmful downloads or code
- Spam sent from, or advertising, one of our customers' websites
- Fraud and scams
- Illegal content
This page is not for:
- Disputes about who should own a web address. Those are decided under the .za alternate dispute resolution regulations, not by us.
- Help with your own website. Email support@appetitehost.co.za.
- Concerns about how we handle your personal information. See our Privacy Policy.
2. How to report
Use the form below, or email abuse@appetitehost.co.za. Tell us the web address involved, what you saw and when, and include anything that helps — screenshots, or the full headers of a spam email.
3. What happens next
- We log it. Every report is recorded with a reference number. If you give us your email, we send you that reference.
- A person reviews it. Phishing, malware and anything that puts people at risk is dealt with first — the same day wherever we can.
- We act. Where a site is clearly being used to harm people, we can take it offline while we investigate. Otherwise we contact the website's owner and give them a chance to respond and put it right.
- We involve others where needed. Where the web address itself is being abused, we inform DiaMatrix CC, the registrar that sponsors our registrations, and the ZA Central Registry. Where something looks criminal, we refer it to the authorities.
- We record the outcome. What we found and what we did is written down against the report.
4. How long we keep reports
We keep every report and our response for at least two years, as our agreement with our registrar requires.
5. Your information
We use your name and email only to handle your report and to contact you about it. We do not give them to the website's owner unless you agree or the law requires it. We may not be able to tell you the outcome where the law or the owner's privacy prevents it.
