Build my website

Two promises that matter more than the design: a 30-day refund and a .co.za in your name

When you compare ways of getting a website, the conversation usually starts with the look and the price. Two less obvious things decide how the next few years go: what happens if you are not happy, and who controls your web address. Appetite Host makes a plain promise on both.

Promise one: 30 days, no conditions

If you are not happy, tell us within 30 days of paying and we refund you in full. No reason needed, no conditions. That is the whole policy, and it is written on the pricing page and in the refund policy.

It matters because you are being asked to pay once-off, up front: R5 000 for Founder, R10 000 for Professional Plus, R15 000 for Professional Turbo, with your first year included. A once-off payment deserves a way back.

You also see your website before you pay. Naya, Appetite Technology’s proprietary AI, builds it on screen while you chat, and the preview is free. So the refund is a second safety net, not the first. The first is that you only pay when you like what you see.

Why many routes cannot offer this

  • A freelancer: whether you get anything back depends on the freelancer.
  • An agency: you usually pay a deposit, then see designs. The deposit is often the cost of finding out.
  • A builder paid yearly: the year is paid in full, in US dollars, before you have built anything.

After the 30 days, you are not locked in either. There is no contract. From year two you pay monthly, R249, R349 or R499 depending on your plan, and you can cancel any time.

Promise two: your .co.za is registered in your name

Every .co.za has a registrant, the person or business it is registered to. The registry’s own rules say the registrant retains control of the name and must not be locked in by whoever registered it for them. That only helps you if the registrant is you.

Appetite Host always registers your .co.za in your name, or your company’s, with your details at the registry. If you ever leave, the address leaves with you. You can move it to another provider and point it at a new website.

What goes wrong when it is not in your name

Problems start when a designer, a friend or a company registers the address in their own name. If they disappear, fall out with you or close down, getting your address back can take weeks, and your email and website go with it. Freelancers are usually one person; people take full-time jobs, emigrate or get too busy. If the freelancer holds the registration or the only login, you are stuck.

Some builders cannot even sell you a .co.za. Wix cannot register one or take one over. WordPress.com does not sell them. In both cases you buy it elsewhere and connect it, which means a separate account, a separate yearly bill and some settings to connect the two.

What “included” means here

Registering your .co.za and renewing it every year are both included in the price. Your first year comes with your package. From year two your monthly subscription covers it, and while your plan is active we renew it for you. There is nothing extra to pay to keep your address, and nothing you have to remember to do.

If you already have a web address, you can move it to us from your account, or keep it where it is and we show you exactly what to do. .co.za, .org.za and .net.za are included; a .com, .africa or city address like .durban carries a yearly fee of its own.

If a payment ever fails

The fair-terms promise extends to the monthly payments too. If a payment fails, we try again over the next week and email you each time. If it still has not gone through, you get 7 more days of grace with your website still live. After that it is paused, not deleted, and we keep your content for at least 30 days. It comes back the moment a payment succeeds.

Who is making the promise

Appetite Technology (Pty) Ltd, trading as Appetite Host, is registered in South Africa (2023/849612/07), based in Durban, with a director you can email. Payments are by card or instant EFT through Paystack; we never see your card details. You buy under South African law, with South African terms, and prices in rand.

Prices checked on 4 October 2026, as each provider showed them to a visitor in South Africa. They change; check with the provider before you decide.
